Vizela relegated to the II Liga after three consecutive seasons in the top flight
Vizela today saw its relegation to the Portuguese football second division confirmed, which ends a three-season cycle in the top tier, after losing 1-0 at the home of its neighbour Moreirense, in a match of the 32nd round.

The Vizela team is in 18th and last place in the table, with 22 points, and, at best, can finish the championship with 28, precisely the score of Portimonense, the team that is in 16th position, giving access to the maintenance 'play-off', and which has an advantage over the Minhotos in the direct confrontation, given the Algarve victory in the first round (3--2) and the draw in the second (0--0).
If Portimonense, Desportivo de Chaves, 17th place, and Vizela finish the competition with 28 points, the team coached by Rubén de la Barrera will be 18th and last in the table, since, in the duels between the three teams, the men from Portimão have 10 points, the Flavians six and the Minhotos one.
After the reception to Estrela da Amadora, referring to the 33rd round and scheduled for 3:30 pm on May 11, and the visit to Boavista, for the 34th and final round, the 'blue' team will end a cycle of three consecutive seasons in the football elite, which was worth a 14th place in 2021/22, under the technical command of Álvaro Pacheco, and an 11th in 2022/23, with Álvaro Pacheco and Tuilpa as coaches.
Vizela has four participations in the main Portuguese championship, having debuted in 1984/85, in a championship in which 16th and last place in the table dictated the return to the second division.
