Franco Israel undergoes surgery and opens up a goalkeeping crisis at Sporting
Uruguayan Internacional has undergone surgery for a "meniscal injury in his right knee".

Sporting announced, in the form of a statement issued through the official platforms at the end of the afternoon this Sunday, that Franco Israel underwent "a surgical intervention for the treatment of a meniscus injury in his right knee".
"The surgery was successfully performed at the CUF Hospital by the Sporting orthopedics medical team", completes the note, which does not specify, however, the period of downtime for the Uruguayan international. Even so, it is certain that the situation causes a crisis in the goal of the lions.
This is because Antonio Adán has been away from the pitch for over two months, due to a muscle injury in his left leg, and, in the last game, against Portimonense (victory, by 3-0), was not even called up by Rúben Amorim.
On the bench of the green and white team were Francisco Silva and Diogo Pinto, goalkeepers aged 18 and 19, respectively, who may be forced to assume the ownership of the position, in what remains of the season.
Sporting, it should be recalled, has three matches to play, until the end of this season. Ahead, it will have Estoril, Desportivo de Chaves (in the last two rounds of the I League) and FC Porto (in the long-awaited final of the Portuguese Cup).
