AVS SAD fails direct promotion attack with the 'bread' that Mafra 'kneaded'

AVS SAD, a team that is fighting for direct promotion to the I League in this final stretch of the championship (and that was in first place in the II League table for a long time), let themselves be tied at home, against Mafra, by 3-3.
The team led by Jorge Costa, who will join André Villas-Boas' management, started off by suffering first. Right at the 17th minute, Matos scored the first goal for Mafra.
AVS SAD responded with a goal by Colombian winger Jhon Mercado, at the 32nd minute. Miguel Fale, a promising player from Sp. Braga, put Mafra back in the lead at the 43rd minute.
Things promised to change at the beginning of the second half. Queirós, from Mafra, was sent off at the 46th minute. However, the Mafra players still increased their lead with one less player, at the 62nd minute, again by Falé.
AVS SAD still reacted, scored by Bernardo, in a penalty kick rebound, and by Mendonça, at the 77th minute. But they were not able to take the lead, as would be expected. They are in third place, with Nacional with two more points and Santa Clara with four more. Everything is still up for grabs. Mafra, on the other hand, moves up to seventh place, with 44 points.
