Villas-Boas remembers Pinto da Costa's legacy and leaves a message to SAD portista
The president of the blue and whites hinted that he would like the current SAD administration to leave their current roles.

In the course of his inauguration speech, André Villas-Boas, the new president of FC Porto, did not forget the legacy of Pinto da Costa, thanking the now former leader for all the work he did over the course of 41 years of presidency in the blue and whites.
"This day calls on us to feel great emotion. There are no words to praise and thank Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa for what he did for FC Porto. The president of presidents, it is not a metaphor, it is history, respect and gratitude. But, above all, work, victory and glory. A unique service record, which brings with it a living and present way of thinking. 'This is the FC Porto that I leave you, take care of it'. Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa, that is what I will do. Your legacy is eternal and will always be respected. I want to leave you with words about the future. In this rapidly changing world, a quick capacity for adaptation and response is required. FC Porto is at a very sensitive stage in terms of future sustainability", Villas-Boas emphasised.
"The road to recovery will be long, but it is a greater responsibility, which we face with the strength that is the hallmark of Portistas. The future is a window of opportunity and sustained growth, where the creation of value will have to be, necessarily, maximised. We are ready and we have a clear vision, and a defined project for the club. Rigour, excellence and competence will affirm themselves as the hallmark of our work", he stressed.
At the end of his speech, André Villas-Boas addressed the administration of SAD, which continues in office and may do so for up to 21 days after the inauguration of the current president. The Portista president appealed for the members still in office to leave the positions they hold, in order to streamline the entry of the new team.
"I could not end this speech without making an appeal to the good sense of FC Porto's SAD. Your resignation would never be considered an act of escape, but rather a noble act, which would elevate you. The club does not have two presidents, it has one president elected by the express will of the members in a change. Delaying the inevitable is postponing the reconstruction of a stronger FC Porto, of the future. I am sure that is what you want. To all the members of FC Porto, to all those present, my many thanks for making this day historic in the future of FC Porto. There is only one FC Porto. Long live FC Porto", he concluded.
