The names of João Neves and António Silva continue to be placed on the Manchester United route, but the possibility of the English club hiring the two Benfica players is highly likely, as defended by Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist and specialist in market issues.
"I am aware of the news about the Benfica duo formed by António Silva and João Neves. Manchester United have been scouting the two players for several months, but we must remember that hiring both would be very expensive. For now, there are no concrete proposals for Neves and Silva, but everything is open for the summer," began by saying Fabrizio Romano, in statements to the portal CaughtOffside, continuing.
"The news in Portugal says that António Silva is more likely to be the big sale, but in my understanding everything is open and depends on the proposals that may arrive," explained the Italian journalist.
It should be noted that António Silva has a contract with Benfica until June 2027 and is 'shielded' by a termination clause of 100 million euros, while João Neves is safe until 2028 with a clause of 120 million.
