The Olympic flame arrived in the French city of Marseille on Wednesday afternoon, after a 12-day journey from Greece aboard the three-masted ship Belem.

Thousands of people were present at the port of Marseille, the city that will host the sailing events of Paris'2024, to witness this ceremony of the arrival of the Olympic flame, which will now begin its journey towards the capital Paris. All this when there are 79 days left for the start of the Olympic Games.

Florent Manaudou, Olympic champion in the 50-meter freestyle in London'2012, carried the flame on the boat and was the first bearer of it on French soil. Shortly after, the former swimmer passed the Olympic flame to French Paralympic athletics champion Nantenin Keita, who in turn passed it to French rapper Jul.
