In addition to the criticism of Thomas Tuchel regarding the refereeing that led to Bayern Munich's elimination in the access to the Champions League final, against Real Madrid (2-1), Manuel Neuer also complained about the controversial move annulled by the referee before seeing the ball enter the goal (it would be 2-2) after having 'justified' the 'mistake' in the equaliser goal of the merengues.
“I must say that I expected the ball in a different way, more towards the chest. It went up a little more and I didn't expect there to be a small ‘molecule’ on the pitch. There was something there. It is very bitter to be eliminated this way, with the draw at 88 minutes. We could only see the final, there are no words," he began by saying in statements quoted in AS.
“De Ligt's move? The referee was influenced by refereeing a game at the Santiago Bernabéu. He has to be true to himself. This cannot happen at this level", he pointed out next.
It should be noted that, shortly after the draw signed by Joselu, the Spaniard would try to point out the goal of the comeback already in extra time, turning the game and the tie to schedule a meeting between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the final.
