Palmeiras player celebration causes chaos on the pitch. Abel has already reacted
Portuguese coach downplays controversy and highlights Endrick's "pure heart".

Endrick was in the spotlight in Palmeiras' victory against Liverpool Montevideo (5-0), registered in the early hours of this Friday, in a match of the South American Cup, due to a controversial celebration... The Brazilian international, who has already been signed by Real Madrid, scored and decided to imitate King Kong when celebrating, something that was seen as a provocation by the rival players.
Chaos quickly ensued on the pitch, with the players 'glued' together and the referee showing Endrick a yellow card.
After the game, the young Brazilian forward explained himself and assured that it was not a provocation.
"They thought it was [a provocation] and I managed to speak a little Spanish with them. Number 3 understood well, number 7 not so much. Today the Planet of the Apes movie was released and that's what I wanted to show, that I like the Kong movie, that's it. I'm happy," explained Endrick, quoted by Globoesporte.
Abel Ferreira, Palmeiras' Portuguese coach, also commented on the incident and assured that he had not seen any kind of malice.
"I know they like controversy and Endrick is a boy with a pure heart. It's the way he celebrates because he likes a movie that everyone knows. Then he apologized, but he did nothing wrong, it's one of the ways to celebrate. Because of the visibility he now has, he can choose only one way to celebrate," began Abel, quoted by the same portal, continuing.
"I understood the Liverpool crowd, but you can be sure that there is no malice in his heart. He celebrated like that, in training and at Independiente del Valle. There is no provocation whatsoever, because this kid has one good thing, which is his head and his heart. He is so naive that he apologized so that no one would be upset. Sometimes it is necessary to clarify so that there are no doubts. I give my word that at no time, in any game, was he disrespectful to the opposing fans. He is not like that and he will surely never be," explained the Portuguese coach.
