"Romulo told us that Benfica had loser genes"

Carlos Barrón, goalkeeper for the Spanish team Palma Futsal, gave a long interview this Friday to the program 'Ser Deportivos Baleares', from the Spanish radio station Cadena SER, in which he talked about the futsal Champions League final four.
Now the reigning European champion after beating Barcelona, Barrón recalled the game with Benfica in the semi-final. The Eagles were winning 4-2 until near the end, but ended up conceding a draw (4-4) and were eliminated from the competition in the penalty shootout.
And in the middle of this conversation, Carlos Barrón revealed that Rômulo, his teammate who wore the Benfica jersey between 2021/22 and 2022/23, said that the Eagles are a losing club.
"Our squad was very short and the Spanish federation didn't help us by scheduling three games in 10 days before this competition. We arrived at a bad moment and Benfica, in terms of individualities, outdid us. But Rômulo told us that Benfica has a losing gene. We believed in ourselves and we won, in these games it's the head that rules", said the veteran Spanish goalkeeper.
