Babangida, ex-Ajax, suffers accident and is in serious condition. Brother died
The former athlete is now the President of Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN).

Former Nigeria winger Tijani Babangida was involved in a ghastly motor accident on Thursday in Nigeria. His younger brother, Ibrahim, also a former footballer, died in the accident, according to Nigerian press. The former Nigeria international, his wife, and one of their sons are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
They were said to be on their way to Zaria from Kaduna when the crash happened, which resulted in the instant death of Ibrahim, who was said to be driving.
Currently receiving treatment in the hospital, Tijani, who was said to have sustained serious injuries, and his wife are said to be conscious, while the condition of their son is still unknown.
Babangida was part of the team that won gold at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He is currently the President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN). His former teammate Emmanuel Babayaro, who is the Secretary-General of PFAN, announced the incident in a statement.
Babangida played for clubs like Roda JC, VVV-Venlo, Ajax and Vitesse. He was also known in video games for his great speed and physicality.
