"Is it a case of clapping and keeping quiet?" Chaves fans hold a "funeral" for the team
The club was relegated to the national second division.

The relegation of Chaves to the second national league has been confirmed. The club from Trás-os-Montes lost at home against Famalicão, and confirmed the relegation in front of their own fans. Thus, the club returns to the division where it was in 2021/2022, after a first season in the top tier in which it reached seventh place.
Things did not go well for the team from the district of Vila Real and the fans 'charged' the players for the relegation with a unique protest.
The Comunidade Azul-Grená shared the following message on X: "Goodbye Primeira Liga. A day of mourning for Chaves fans. Is it still time to applaud and be quiet? Rise from the dead, my Desportivo", with a suggestive image, with a coffin with the Chaves symbol, next to the club's stadium.
