Manchester City visited and defeated Fulham (4-0) on Saturday, coached by Marco Silva, in a match of the 37th round of the Premier League. The team of Bernardo Silva, Rúben Dias and Matheus Nunes thus jumps to the provisional leadership, leaving Arsenal, who will visit Manchester United tomorrow, pressured in the penultimate round of the championship.

With the first two Portuguese players starting, with João Palhinha starting for Fulham, the man of the afternoon was... Gvardiol. The Croatian defender opened the scoring in the 13th minute and scored twice in the second half, in the 71st minute, after Phil Foden also put his name on the list of scorers at Craven Cottage.

Even before the final whistle, and already in stoppage time, Diop brought down Álvarez in the penalty area and saw the red card for accumulating yellow cards. It was the Argentine international (90'+6) who stepped up to the penalty spot and set the final score.

With this victory, Manchester City now has 85 points, two more than Arsenal, who will be in action tomorrow, at Old Trafford. Even so, it should be recalled that City will still play a postponed match with Tottenham next week and adjust the calendar, so it depends only on itself to renew the title.

In turn, Marco Silva's Fulham risks losing 13th place and goes into the third consecutive game without a win, continuing with the same 44 points.
