Wolverhampton suffered a second consecutive defeat in the Premier League on Saturday, losing 1-3 at home to Crystal Palace on matchday 37.

At Molineux, the Londoners went into the break with the lead thanks to goals from Olise (26') and Mateta (28'). A goal from Matheus Cunha at the start of the second half (68') gave the Wolves a lifeline, but the inevitable Eze sealed the final result in the 73rd minute.

Before the final whistle, Ahamada received his second yellow card of the match, ending his season early as he will miss Palace's last game.

Without José Sá in goal, Gary O'Neill called up Portuguese players Toti Gomes and Nélson Semedo to the starting eleven.

With the win, Crystal Palace moved up to 12th place with 46 points, the same as Wolverhampton, who are one place below.

In another afternoon match, Everton, who had André Gomes and Chermiti coming off the bench, won 1-0 at home to already relegated Sheffield United. Doucoure scored the only goal of the match at Goodison Park in the 31st minute.

With this result, the Toffees, who returned to winning ways in the Premier League, now have 40 points in 15th place. Sheffield United are bottom with 16.
