Sá Pinto celebrates in Cyprus. Portuguese wins 1st championship of his career
APOEL drew at home with AEK Larnaca and celebrated.

It's a day of Portuguese celebration in Cyprus. APOEL, coached by Ricardo Sá Pinto, was crowned Cypriot champion this Saturday, after a draw at home (1-1) against AEK Larnaca, who were also in the running for the competition triumph.
Sol scored in the fifth minute for the visitors, but APOEL reacted promptly and Marquinhos set the final result in the ninth minute. In addition to Sá Pinto, the Portuguese Tomané was also a champion.
The two teams finished the championship with a draw in the score (73), but APOEL was better in the direct confrontations throughout the season, the first tiebreaker criterion in the Cypriot league.
This is Ricardo Sá Pinto's first championship title in his coaching career, he who had already been champion for Sporting (in 2001/02), but still as a footballer.
In addition to this trophy at APOEL; Sá Pinto already had a Belgian Cup for Standard Liège and an Iranian Super Cup for Esteghlal.
