Dortmund secured their place in the 'Champions' final by winning 1-0 at Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, and Terzic rested his regular starters.

Mainz, who are fighting to stay up, took advantage of the bonus and played their hearts out, with a blistering start that allowed them to calmly secure the victory with less than a third of the match played.

A goal from Luxembourg midfielder Leandro Barreiro in the 12th minute and a brace from South Korean Sung-Jae Lee in the 19th and 23rd minutes secured the win for Mainz, with bets on Julien Brandt, Jadon Sancho and Ian Maatsen during the second half proving worthless.

This game was not important for Dortmund, not only because they have qualified for the 'Champions' final, in which they will face Real Madrid, but also because they have already secured qualification for that competition through fifth place in the league, with 60 points, 14 more than sixth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt.

In the other games today on matchday 33, there were three 1-1 draws in the matches Leipzig-Werder Bremen, Freiburg-Heidenheim and Borussia Mönchengladbach-Eintracht Frankfurt, and a home win for Cologne over Union Berlin, 3-2, two teams still fighting to stay up.

The new champion Bayer Leverkusen leads with 84 points (32 games), followed by Stuttgart with 70 (33), Bayern with 69 (32), Leipzig with 64 (33), and Borussia Dortmund with 60 (33), a quintet that has already secured qualification for the group stage of the Champions League.

At the bottom of the table, Mainz, with today's victory over Dortmund, overtook Union Berlin and left the relegation zone, with 32 points, two more than their rival from the capital and five more than Cologne.

Everything will be decided on the final matchday next Saturday, in relation to the fight to stay up, with Mainz visiting Wolfsburg, Union Berlin hosting Freiburg and Cologne travelling to Heidenheim.
