"Honestly, I think the draw was the most fair result in the game, for what happened in the 90 minutes, but I consider it a fair victory given the whole season. It was the culmination of a season in which we deserved to achieve this goal", admitted Tiago Margarido.

To the journalists, the coach, who was showered by his athletes in the press room, admitted that Tondela was a "very dignified, very brave team and made Nacional pay dearly" for the victory that allowed them to move up to the First Division.

"Our initial goal was to remain in the division and we managed to turn a dream into reality, something that seemed impossible at the beginning and that today, in the 90+5 minute, we managed to make real. I think it's a story worthy of a book", he stated.

The coach who said that, at the beginning, "he did not believe it would be possible to be celebrating a move up today", dedicated the achievement to the management of Nacional, "because whenever they fell, they got up and today they got up again" and to the fans, athletes and family members.

The president of the club, Rui Alves, admitted that "it's a nice gift from the athletes", in the week in which they told him he was "the longest-standing leader in professional competitions", after Jorge Pinto da Costa left FC Porto.

"They say that football is the people's opium and, if that's the case, today Madeira is high", was Rui Alves' reaction to the journalists, next to the bus that would take the team to the airport, to return to the island of Madeira.

The coach of Tondela, Sérgio Gaminha, in the press room, admitted being "shocked" by the way his team lost the game" and added that leaving this 33rd round with zero points "was unbelievable".

"We managed to nullify all of Nacional's strengths and whenever we made a mistake, we were punished", he reacted.

Nacional's fans celebrated at the Estádio João Cardoso after the final whistle, after Carlos Daniel gave Nacional the victory in the last minute of added time, watching several players leave the field on their knees.

"The pride of Madeira is us", shouted the more than 300 Nacional fans who watched the match at Tondela's stadium, with some of them managing to hug their idols, since some of the athletes jumped over the fence.

Today's game, in the city of Tondela, had a reinforcement of police officers, from the GNR, and also of the security team, which given the possibility of a celebration, increased the number of officers at the Estádio João Cardoso.
