The goals of the Azoreans were achieved early in the meeting, by Safira, at the seven-minute mark, and Calila, at the 13-minute mark.

With this result, Santa Clara occupies the first position in the table, with 70 points, and in the next round, the last, can win the race, if they beat União de Leiria or Nacional does not win, at home, against Mafra.

As for the 'saloios', who today had a lackluster game, they are in a comfortable eighth place, with 44 points, but they still have the goal of moving up in the standings.

Upon learning of their promotion to the I League before the initial whistle, Santa Clara entered the field galvanized and quickly took the lead.

At the seven-minute mark, Safira opened the scoring, with his sixth goal in the competition. After a move down the left side of the attack, MT crossed the ball and the forward appeared at the near post to finish.

The atmosphere, which was already festive, became even more lively and Santa Clara, shortly thereafter, made it 2-0, by Diogo Calila, after a precise cross by Adriano Firmino. Santa Clara was loose in the match and Mafra had no space or time to breathe.

The best that the 'saloios' could manage was a strong shot by Pité to close out the first half, but even that move was for naught, since the midfielder was offside.

In the second half, the scenario of the first half was repeated, with Santa Clara entering more focused and quickly approaching André Paulo's goal. Safira once again had a great opportunity, but this time he could not reach MT's cross.

At the 55-minute mark, the first real chance of danger for Mafra arose, with Miguel Falé shooting at the post. The forward won in the air, headed the ball, but the ball ended up on the 'iron' of Gabriel Batista's goal.

Until the end, Santa Clara, clearly on top in the match, managed the pace, celebrated, and the best that Mafra could manage was an opportunity wasted by Mesaque Dju in front of the goalkeeper.
