Sporting defeats Oliveirense in a 'crazy' match and wins the Champions League
The Lions triumphed 2-1, in a final with national colors.

A green and white party was held at the Pavilhão Rosa Mota, in Porto. This Sunday, Sporting won the Roller Hockey Champions League, beating Oliveirense 2-1 in the final. But it wasn't an easy victory for the Lions.
After eliminating FC Porto (reigning champions) and OC Barcelos, respectively, the Portuguese teams sought success in a final four that was completely Portuguese.
The Alvalade team started better. Nolito Romero opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a powerful shot that surprised the Spanish Xano Edo. The first half was marked by a very high pace and with two teams looking for the best way to make the scoreboard 'blink' again.
With no more goals in the first half, the second half had a crazy start. Oliveirense equalised in the 35th minute through Lucas Martínez, but João Souto (38th minute) responded in the same way and gave Sporting the advantage again.
In the final moments, and with the Oliveira de Azeméis team looking for a goal that would take the match to extra time, Ângelo Girão was a giant. The Sporting goalkeeper defended everything he had to defend, with special emphasis on the great save from Lucas Martínez's free kick in the 42nd minute and another huge intervention in the last second.
Sporting thus succeeds FC Porto and sits on the European throne for the fourth time in its history, after 1977, 2019 and 2021.
