Derby until the last second: "In the first half, against a well-organized team in a low block... We were a bit slow in circulation and not very smart in finding space. Our midfielders showed themselves, but they were pressured, but we couldn't find a line up front. (...) I don't think it was a well-achieved first half, not for lack of will, but for some haste and for some lack of intelligence in what was hurting the opponent. The second half was one-way. In the first half, Boavista tried to come out on the counterattack to try to score their goal, which they managed in the second half. Word to Boavista players: "In this final phase of the championship, there is always a more acute emotional state. I went to greet some players I knew. Chidozie worked here with me, Salvador Agra was my player, Reisinho is the son of a colleague of mine... What I wish them is much success. Honestly, I didn't like the posture. A lot of time wasted, little rhythm in the game because it was constantly being broken. And then, when we want to go after it, we can't make up for that lost time." 

Last day: "We have two results in Braga: win or win. We don't want to go there thinking about any other result than that. We will find a difficult and moralized team. Unfortunately, I will not be able to be on the bench. I don't understand why this yellow card, which is my fifth. This is passion and football. Celebrating with Mehdi and the players, we all passed in front of the bench and I was the one who got the yellow card. Honestly, it's already a bit tiring and exhausting. It's a pity not to be able to finish the championship on the bench. I didn't deserve this yellow card. There were other situations in which I got a yellow card and probably deserved it. Today, honestly, there was no reason for that. But there you go. We can't say more than that, otherwise I'll get another lawsuit." 

Fifth yellow card: "There were situations in the game in which I could be more expansive and I wasn't. Obviously, when you score a goal at 90'+7 that gives us the victory, there is this emotional state and we release our joy. Getting a yellow card for this, I honestly don't understand why. They have to explain it to me. I have complete confidence in the technical team, namely in the technical team. It has happened a few times. Everything is prepared during the week. It's just the figure that's on the bench. I'm completely relaxed about it. I don't think I deserved to end the championship this way. I didn't do anything to deserve this fifth yellow card."
