Coach resigns at the break, medic takes over the reins... and the team wins
An unusual episode culminated in the triumph of Brasiliense over Real Brasília.

Brasiliense's 2-1 win over Real Brasília in a Group 5 match of the Série D would hardly be news outside Brazil. However, the surreal way in which it happened led it to spread around the world.
With the score tied at 'zero' at half-time, the coach, Paulo Roberto Santos, had a disagreement with the club's president, former senator Luiz Estevão, and resigned, being replaced in the position... by the doctor, Jorge Oliva, who ended up leading the team to a safe harbor.
"Brasiliense informs that, during the break of the match between Real Brasília and Brasiliense, the coach, Paulo Roberto Santos, dissatisfied with the criticism he received from the club's president for the team's poor performance in the first half and in the first two games of the competition, decided to leave the team's command, along with the other members of his technical commission", explained the club, in a statement.
A change that was apparently right on target, since, in the second half, Kaio Nunes scored two goals in the space of just two minutes, with the response belonging to Matheus Alemão, already in stoppage time, sealing the final result.
