Rui Costa 'ties' Schmidt to Benfica. Amorim and Conceição 'to the noise'

Benfica prepare to end the season without winning the coveted two-time championship, in a season in which Roger Schmidt ended up being highly contested, both domestically and in Europe, so the possibility of his departure was, for a moment, on the table.
However, according to information gathered by the newspaper O Jogo, in the printed edition of this Tuesday, Rui Costa intends to 'tie' the German coach to the technical command of the eagles, since, in the view of SAD, his record has been positive with several objectives achieved.
Also according to the same publication, the fact that Benfica has practically guaranteed direct passage to the group stage of the Champions League, even if via second place in the I Liga, also helped to counteract the intention of some fans to see Schmidt out of the plans for next season, so much so that Rúben Amorim and Sérgio Conceição were even put to the noise.
The numbers show that, in the sum of the two seasons, the German coach managed to obtain more points than the coaches of Sporting and FC Porto, including with the record of more victories and fewer draws and defeats, although he faced many whistles during this season, due to the expectations created by the fans after the season that marked the return of winning a championship.
It is true that Roger Schmidt, after the rout of Arouca (5-0) last Sunday, came to say "if the solution is for me to leave, we will talk about it", but Rui Costa does not want this to be the outcome, so his continuity seems to be the most likely scenario.
