Differdange 03, from Luxembourg, has a true Portuguese diaspora in its ranks and was the champion of the country's main league, for the first time in its history. It won, by 0-1, against Progres Niederkorn, this Monday, and celebrated the title.

The club, which derived from Red Boys Differdange, was refounded in 2003. Its predecessor was the League champion six times. With this triumph, the team debuts in the Champions League and will enter the 3rd round, with the hope of reaching the group stage. Jorginho's performance stands out, with 24 goals, being the championship's top scorer. Last year, he played in Pevidém, in the Portuguese Championship. The club's sports director is Portuguese - Remmy, a Portuguese entrepreneur in the catering area, being in his first year in office. It also has a Portuguese technical team led by Pedro Resende, who has made a career in Luxembourg.
