The Public Investment Fund, a Saudi Arabian consortium that owns clubs such as Al Nassr (of Cristiano Ronaldo, Otávio, and Luís Castro) or Al Hilal (of Jorge Jesus and Rúben Neves) is interested in hiring Tiago Lopes.
The Desporto ao Minuto knows that, as it was reported this Tuesday by the French television station RMC Sport, the goal is to 'rescue' the current executive director of Casa Pia and put him in the sports management of one of the emblems it owns. A group that also includes Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad, and even Newcastle.
The Portuguese has extensive experience in the world of football, which he began to build in 2005 when he joined the structure of Manchester United, first as an intern, remaining there until 2012.
From then on, he went on to Philadelphia Union, Benfica, and, since 2021, Casa Pia, at the invitation of the majority shareholder, Robert Platek, who also holds shares in groups such as Spezia or Sonderjyske.
