Qatar SC completed the quartet of teams that qualified for the semi-finals of the Emir of Qatar Cup, thanks to the dramatic triumph achieved, at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, over Al-Rayyan, in the penalty shootout.

Bruno Tabata proved to be particularly inspired, facing the team led by Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim, by assisting for the opening goal, scored by Ibrahim Abdulmajed, just 15 minutes after the initial whistle, followed by Yohan Boli, in the moments that followed.

However, there was still a lot of story to tell, and a brace by Roger Guedes reopened the game. Five minutes after the 90th, the Brazilian ex-Sporting player did it again, this time, in the conversion of a penalty, but Sofiane Boufal 'threw' the game into extra time.

There, the stalemate remained. First, Javi Martínez put the ball in his own goal, and then, Bruno Tabata did it again, so it was necessary to resort to a penalty shootout, where a winner emerged, once and for all.

Qatar SC is thus in the next phase, where it will face Al-Gharafa, by Pedro Martins, who, hours before, left Umm-Salal behind, by 2-4. In the other semi-final, there will be a duel between Al-Duhail and Al-Sadd.
