Bad luck strikes twice. Nicolò Zaniolo suffers an injury and could miss the European Championship (again)

Nicolò Zaniolo had to watch his teammates become European champions in 2021 due to injury. He suffered a serious knee problem and, despite being in great form for Roma at the time, he was left out. Now, history could be about to repeat itself.
The Italian striker for Aston Villa was injured in the 3-3 draw with Liverpool on Monday night. Coming off the bench in the 65th minute, the former Roma player was forced to leave the field 14 minutes later. He fell to the ground, took off his shoe and suffered a foot problem.
During the day he underwent the necessary tests, which confirmed a microfracture in his foot. A stoppage of at least one month is expected, so Zaniolo will not be available to Italian coach Luciano Spalletti for the final phase of Euro 2024.
This season, Zaniolo, 24, has played 39 games and scored three goals for Aston Villa in the Premier League. He still belongs to Galatasaray, and is on loan to the English club.
