"João Neves? João Rêgo is very different. He's more of a definition, he has a goal"
Former Benfica B coach highlights the potential of the latest signing to Roger Schmidt's team.

"João Rêgo and João Neves? They are totally different players. João Rêgo is much more offensive, he is more of a last third and of being close to the goal. João Neves is a different type of player, he is a midfielder and, in addition to his technical qualities, he has an extraordinary physical capacity. Rêgo is a more defining player, he has a goal", he said in statements to the newspaper O Jogo, in the printed edition of this Wednesday.
"João Rêgo is a kid with a future. When I was at Benfica, it was not only my opinion but that of many people, he was seen as a talent and if things go normally he could reach a very high level. He is not fully mature, which gives even more certainty that he can evolve much more. When he matures, he will have even more impact. He works well, he has a very positive mentality", he added next.
It is worth mentioning that, in addition to the name similar to João Neves, João Rêgo is also one of the few footballers to wear the shirt inside the shorts, having been Roger Schmidt's bet precisely at the same age - 18 years old.
This season, the young promise played six games for the juniors (three goals), nine for the under-23s (two goals) and 26 for the B team (two goals) until making his debut for the main team last Sunday.
