The 52-year-old coach had started the season at Estoril Praia, but ended up leaving the 'canaries' on the sixth matchday, being replaced by Vasco Seabra. Álvaro Pacheco was the third coach of the season for the team from Guimarães, taking over on the seventh matchday, replacing Paulo Turra, who had replaced Moreno, who 'slammed the door' after the first matchday -- João Aroso temporarily led the team from Guimarães in the second round. Vitória de Guimarães have already secured fifth place, which gives them access to the play-offs for the Europa Conference League next season, leaving the club after a 3-2 home defeat to Sporting de Braga. Vítor Campelos was the last coach to leave a club, after leaving Gil Vicente on the 28th matchday, a place that was taken by Tozé Marreco, although Carlos Cunha still temporarily coached the team for one round. The previous rounds had been prolific in terms of departures, since, after the 27th, Artur Jorge left the helm of Sporting de Braga, fourth place, to head to the Brazilian team Botafogo and Armando Evangelista replaced João Pedro Sousa at Famalicão on the 26th round. After leaving Vitória de Guimarães, Moreno headed to Chaves, being hired to replace José Gomes, on the fifth round, after the team from Trás-os-Montes recorded five defeats in the same number of league matches. The end of the 11th round brought two changes at once, at Casa Pia and Arouca, with Pedro Moreira and Daniel Sousa taking over from Filipe Martins and Daniel Ramos, respectively. In his second spell at the helm of Boavista, Petit was another 'victim' of the results, in December last year, after 13 rounds, being replaced by Ricardo Paiva. The Spaniard Pablo Villar gave way to his compatriot Rúben de la Barrera at the helm of Vizela, on the 14th round, last December. On the 21st round, Pedro Moreira was removed from the helm of Casa Pia, just 86 days after taking over the position, to replace Filipe Martins. Gonçalo Santos, who was part of the previous coaching staff, is the current coach of the team from Lisbon.   - Coaching changes in the 2023/24 edition of the Portuguese I Liga: Round Club Leaving Entering ============================================================================ 1st Vitória de Guimarães Moreno João Aroso a) 2nd Vitória de Guimarães João Aroso Paulo Turra 5th Desportivo de Chaves José Gomes Moreno 6th Estoril Praia Álvaro Pacheco Vasco Seabra 7th Vitória de Guimarães Paulo Turra Álvaro Pacheco 11th Casa Pia Filipe Martins Pedro Moreira 11th Arouca Daniel Ramos Daniel Sousa 13th Boavista Petit Jorge Couto a) 14th Boavista Jorge Couto Ricardo Paiva 14th Vizela Pablo Villar Rúben de la Barrera 21st Casa Pia Pedro Moreira Gonçalo Santos 26th Famalicão João Pedro Sousa Armando Evangelista 27th Sporting Braga Artur Jorge Rui Duarte a) 28th Gil Vicente Vítor Campelos Carlos Cunha a) 29th Gil Vicente Carlos Cunha Tozé Marreco 33rd Vitória de Guimarães Álvaro Pacheco To be defined a) Interim Read Also: Álvaro Pacheco to leave Vitória SC before the end of the season (Portuguese version)
