Five years later, Real Madrid continue to pay Hazard to Chelsea
Spanish qualification for the Champions League final is worth another bonus to the English.

It has been almost five years since Real Madrid 'opened the purse strings' and paid Chelsea well over 100 million euros for Eden Hazard, in a transfer that did not go well for anyone involved... except for the English.
This is because, according to Wednesday's edition of the British newspaper The Telegraph, they are entitled to receive a bonus of around five million pounds (5.8 million euros) for the fact that the Spanish team eliminated Bayern Munich and stamped the passport to the Champions League final.
A clause that remained active, although, for about seven months, the Belgian international surprised everyone by announcing to the world the decision to put an end to his career, at 32 years of age.
After doing the math, between the initial fixed value and others dependent on the fulfillment of objectives, the departure of the now former forward has already brought in a financial gain of almost 200 million euros to the Blues' coffers.
