João Félix and João Cancelo nominated for best goal in La Liga
Portuguese players João Félix and João Cancelo, both from FC Barcelona, are among the nominees for the best goal category in the annual Spanish football league awards, the organization announced today.

LaLiga has unveiled the nominees for its annual awards, which will be presented together with the KAFD Globe Soccer European Awards at a gala to be held on May 28 in Sardinia, Italy.
The awards will be given to the best player, best coach, best goal and best U-23 player, in addition to special awards for the team of the season and the 2023/24 champion, a title won by Real Madrid.
In addition to João Cancelo and João Félix, Depay (Atlético de Madrid), Saúl Coco (Las Palmas), Aitor Ruibal (Real Betis), Jesus Areso (Osasuna), Vinicius Júnior (Real Madrid) and Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona) are in the running for the best goal of the year.
"The LaLiga awards are the icing on the cake of a great season, in which the top spots were especially competitive, with some clubs surprising thanks to their good work. Being able to organize the final gala together with GSA Europe is also a milestone, since their work in this field has great prestige in the sports industry," said Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish League.
The winners are chosen through a voting system among fans, the club captains themselves and a panel of experts from the list of nominees.
