The chairman of the body, Pedro Proença, who also leads the association of European Leagues, was one of the speakers and closed the session.

"It is a magnificent project that brings together the tools and knowledge necessary for the future leaders of this industry, and it was a privilege to share my experience with them in this exciting challenge of continuing to promote the values of football beyond a career on the pitch", said Proença.

In Lisbon, the focus was on competitions and leagues, with the presence of names such as Aaron Mokoena, Alex Song, Andreas Beck, Enrique de Lucas, Gökhan Inler, Janni Arnth, Julien Escude, Stéphane Mbia and former referee Milorad Mazic.

"This is, in essence, further proof of how we are now recognised and valued by the major institutions of European football, thanks to the work carried out by all those who make up the universe of professional football", highlighted the leader.

After the opening session in Nyon, Switzerland, which addressed the panorama of professional football, the programme moved to Paris, where issues of management and leadership were discussed, and has now passed through Portugal.

The UEFA MIP will also pass through Spain, Germany, England, the United States of America and Brazil, ending in June 2025.
