Juventus end 'post-Ronaldo' drought with Italian Cup triumph

The Old Lady is back to winning titles, almost three years later. Juventus hadn't celebrated since 2021, when they won the Italian Cup against Atalanta, still with Cristiano Ronaldo in the team. It was Ronaldo's last season in Italy, having then returned to Manchester United.

This Wednesday, they did it again, at the Olympic Stadium, against the same opponent. The Bianconeri managed to win with a solitary goal from Dusan Vlahovic, a Serbian striker who put Juventus ahead after just four minutes. He isolated himself and finished coolly in front of goalkeeper Carnesecchi.

Atalanta's Ademola Lookman still hit the post in the second half. Already at the end of the game, it was Fabio Miretti who hit the bar, but Juventus ended up winning. Allegri still saw the red card, in added time, before celebrating.
