"I don't consume anything illicit anymore. Every day I am with God"

Mário Jardel spoke again about his past marked by drug addiction, and guaranteed he no longer has these problems. In an interview with Globo Esporte, the former striker spoke about this, the accusation of corruption as a deputy and also depression.
"The best moment is this one I'm living, with God, with wisdom, I no longer consume anything illicit. I have made great contracts and relationships, I changed my whole routine, I turned it around. The advice I give is that you can do anything, both fall and get up, you cannot persist in the error. Every day I am with God, I have therapy, I sought help and I gained this daily strength. I went through this path and I won", guarantees the ex-FC Porto.
He also gave advice to those who are going through depression: "I am free, I read every day, I write how my day was. To those who are afraid, I say face it. I went through depression, I faced it and I won. So many people with irreversible problems and we are complaining. It is to raise your head and live day by day with serenity, self-love and cleanliness."
Jardel also said that the accusations of corruption, in 2015, were the target of a "set-up". He was elected state deputy for Rio Grande do Sul in 2014 and became the target of an investigation by the Public Ministry the following year, suspected of diverting funds from the Legislative Assembly.
"That was a set-up for me, it was left behind. I knew I would be elected, the Grêmio 'fans' elected me, I was wrong not to put capable people, people from within set me up. I have already managed to unblock my assets, nothing has been proven, there is a year and a half left for this to prescribe", he concludes.
