Benfica and Sporting go to 'fight' for young promise loaned to Mafra

Ousmane Diao is one of the main revelations of the II League this season. Loaned by Midtjylland to Mafra, the 19-year-old has been in the spotlight in the Mafrense team this season and proof of this is the interest of renowned clubs in Portugal.
According to the newspaper A Bola this Thursday, Benfica and Sporting are eyeing the Senegalese centre-back, but the high price demanded by the Danes could be an obstacle to the deal. The Nordic managers are aware of the value of this young man and promise not to make it easy for him to leave.
According to the same source, Midtjylland demands a value of around ten million euros to let Diao go, even more than what was asked of Sporting at the time of the sale of Diomande - the centre-back cost the green and whites 7.5 million euros.
Ousmane Diao has played 36 games for Mafra this season, scoring two goals.
