Official: Benfica with a new low in the scouting department
Alfredo Almeida has moved to Croatian club NK Osijek.

Benfica's scouting department suffered a new loss. After the departure of director Pedro Ferreira, who went to the English club Nottingham Forest, the reds now saw Alfredo Almeida leave for Croatian football.
The former technical coordinator of the reds, who was linked to the eagle's emblem through the partnership with Brazilian club Coimbra Sports, was announced as coordinator of youth football for NK Osijek. Alfredo Almeida will meet with fellow Portuguese and sports director, José Boto.
"I met José Boto precisely at Benfica, where he played a significant role for a long time, and we achieved a more concrete cooperation during our involvement in Ukraine. I had never been to Croatia before and I was guided by the idea that it is a small and safe country that provides a quality life. I especially like the great passion for football that is felt here", began by saying the Portuguese, quoted by the official media of NK Osijek.
"My first impressions are very good, especially in terms of football infrastructure and working conditions, which at NK Osijek are absolutely of a high European level. I am looking forward to this new professional challenge", he concluded.
