Ederson Moraes' season is over. In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, Manchester City revealed that the Brazilian goalkeeper has suffered a minor fracture to his eye socket following a clash with Cristian Romero. "Manchester City can confirm that Ederson will miss the final two games of the season with a minor fracture to his eye socket," a club statement read. "The Brazilian goalkeeper sustained the injury during Tuesday night's 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. "He has since undergone scans on the affected area, which have revealed a small fracture to his right eye socket. The injury will prevent Ederson from featuring in the remaining matches of the 2023/24 campaign. Everyone at the club wishes Ederson a speedy recovery." The former Benfica man, who was replaced by Stefan Ortega in the Tottenham game, will now miss the clash with West Ham on the final day of the Premier League season, which could see City crowned champions for a fourth successive season, as well as the FA Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley on May 25.
