Official: Benfica 'ties down' young talent who stands out in the youth teams

Benfica announced, this Thursday, that they offered a professional contract to the young goalkeeper Luiz Felipe Pimentel Xavier.
The goalkeeper, 16, is in his fourth season at the service of the incarnates, since he was hired from Estoril Praia, in 2020/2021.
"It is a feeling of great joy, a unique feeling. It is another step that I am taking in my journey. I will continue to always work and give my best for this symbol that I wear on my chest", said the goalkeeper to the official media of the incarnates, who pointed out the goals for the future.
"I will want to play in this beautiful Stadium [da Luz], but, as I am still very young, I will work very hard. Whenever I have an opportunity, I will seize it", he concluded.
Champion of beginners in 2022/2023, Luiz Xavier has, so far, played 11 games for Benfica's youth team.
