The press conference previewing the match against Gil Vicente, the 34th round of the I League, was attended by 11 members: coach Sérgio Vieira, president Paulo Lopo, sports director José Faria, and players António Filipe, Bruno Brígido, Kialonda Gaspar, Miguel Lopes, Mansur, João Reis, Aloísio Souza, and Pedro Sá.

"This panorama [of 11 members] has to do with the character of the people who work together in this new step that was taken for the return to the elite. It has always been in a united way, with values, family spirit, and very strong sacrifice, directness, loyalty, honesty, friendship, and mutual aid. It will not be different in the last match. It is a decisive encounter and we all wanted to be here to show that it has always been and will be that way until the last second of the season", said coach Sérgio Vieira.

The Amadora team arrives at the last match with 30 points, one above the play-off position, occupied by Portimonense, after a round in which they were thrashed 4-0 in the visit to the already relegated Vizela, a defeat justified by the coach with a mental blackout that was "easily overcome" during the week, with rigor and confidence.

"It is the first year after many away from this rigor of the I League and we know that it is always very difficult. All the other teams were either recently or have been there for a long time. The first year of the project requires overcoming, dedication, and the evolution of many aspects that contribute to performance. We played great matches against strong opponents. On Saturday, we depend on ourselves and all together rowing in the same direction", he stressed.

The president, Paulo Lopo, highlighted the constant support of the 'tricolor' fans during the season, having already sold out the José Gomes Stadium for this last duel, also recalling the work and evolution carried out during the four years of the project.

"We have a strong and united club, which managed, in four years, to achieve what few have achieved. We transformed this club, with great difficulty and struggle. We are together and we trust each other. We know the importance of Estrela da Amadora in our football and it is the recreation of what we want Estrela to be like in the old days", he pointed out.

The sports director, José Faria, expressed that everyone who works at the club should be proud of the journey, despite the difficulties, and spoke of a "spectacular week", through a family feeling "in the true sense of the word".

"Nothing ends now, Estrela da Amadora is here to stay. Whoever is here did not fall from a parachute. He knows what he wants, where he has to go, and nothing will deter us. We only depend on ourselves, we will do everything and we will even give our lives for our fans. If they do the same, it will be very difficult not to achieve our goals", he warned.

The footballers also left their message, through the voices of Miguel Lopes and António Filipe, who reinforced the spirit and the desire to reach Saturday's match and stamp, together with the fans, the permanence in the top tier of Portuguese football.

"Gil Vicente is in a comfortable situation, but our spirit, desire, and the desire to reach Saturday are enormous. I am convinced that this group will achieve its goals", said Miguel Lopes, with António Filipe adding: "I have already been through some of these situations. We have been building this sense of family and leadership, which we have to put into practice very quickly. We are all eager to face this challenge".

Estrela da Amadora, 15th place, with 30 points, hosts Gil Vicente on Saturday, 11th, with 36, starting at 3:30 pm, at the José Gomes Stadium, in Amadora, in a match of the 34th round of the I League, refereed by João Pinheiro, from the Braga Football Association.
