Maguire argues that VAR should only be used for one thing

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has given his verdict on the possibility of the Premier League scrapping VAR, following a proposal from Wolves.
"I think it will divide opinion and there will be a lot of people who want to keep it. But the popular thing to say at the moment is to get rid of it. It probably needs tweaking. The automated offside is coming in next season which will improve it. It will make it quicker," he told The Sun on Friday.
"I would keep VAR but only for offside. I would get rid of it for anything that is opinion-based. Offside is factual, it is not subjective. It is very hard to take a goal away from someone when they are offside by a matter of millimetres," he continued.
"Everyone makes mistakes. Linesmen make mistakes so I would only keep VAR for that. But I wouldn't have it for red cards or penalties because even now you see different people giving different opinions on whether it is the right decision or not," the England international added.
