Benfica already knows its opponent in the semi-finals of the championship

Oliveirense qualified on Friday night for the semi-finals of the national basketball championship, by beating CD Póvoa (78-69), in the last and decisive game of the competition's quarter-finals.
In an exciting match, almost always played at a high pace, the team from Oliveira de Azeméis ended up being superior to their opponent. Until the end of the third quarter, neither team had an advantage of more than two digits.
After an advance of seven points (41-34) for Oliveirense at half-time, the team from Póvoa reacted and with a partial of 16-21 left everything open for the last 10 minutes.
However, and driven by the support of the crowd in the stands, João Figueiredo's men ended up finishing with a new advantage of nine points over their opponent.
At an individual level, on the home team's side, Wesley Washpun was the best man with 21 points, seven rebounds and ten assists.
Benfica and Oliveirense now have a duel scheduled for 22 May, when they will start to discuss access to the championship final.
