The opening João Freudenthal revealed nerves of 'steel' to convert a penalty in the 90+7 minutes, putting the blues back in front of the scoreboard after a long and patient possession of the ball waiting for a mistake from the 'agronomists' that would allow the final overtaking in the scoreboard.

Author of 14 of the 19 points of the blues, Freudenthal converted four penalties (35, 46, 61, 90+7) and the only try of the match, by André Cunha (40+8), right at the break.

The goal kick was not enough, at the time, to put Belenenses in front, since the aggressiveness and intensity imposed by Agronomia in the initial phase of the match allowed the 'green and whites' to reach the break in front, by 12-10, with penalties by Domingos Cabral (17, 30) and João Lima (25, 40+3).

However, Belenenses took advantage of the break of Agronomia near the break and two yellow cards, to António Cortes (37) and Pedro Vicente (40+7), to reach the try in the scarce period in which he had two more elements on the field.

At the beginning of the second half, João Freudenthal put Belenenses in the lead for the first time, with two penalties (46, 61), before João Lima (65, 78) responded in the same 'currency' to put the 'green and whites' back in front, two minutes from regular time.

Then began the longest possession of the ball of the entire match, for the 'blues', with Agronomia resisting for long minutes without opening spaces or committing a foul that would allow the opponent to target the posts, but the agronomists ended up giving in and Freudenthal did not hesitate.

The triumph allowed Belenenses to add the ninth national champion title (1959, 1963, 1973, 1975, 2003, 2008, 2018, 2022 and 2024) and equal Benfica in third place on the 'podium' of the history, behind CDUL (20) and Direito (12). Agronomia has two titles (2007 and 2019).
