Luís Neto bids farewell to Sporting in tears: "I lived this club a lot..."
The Portuguese international ensures that the club "is structured and tailored to continue winning".

Luís Neto played his last game for Sporting this Saturday against Desportivo de Chaves (a clear 3-0 victory), the club he joined in 2019 after his contract with Zenit ended.
Visibly moved, the Portuguese international addressed the nearly 50 thousand fans who made the trip to Alvalade for the final match of the 2023/24 I Liga season, leaving them with a few special words, the result of a five-year relationship.
"I wore the Sporting jersey, I lived this club to the fullest, I felt from the inside how special it is. Today, Sporting is structured and ready to keep winning. It is part of Sporting to have great human resources, players, staff, offices, academy...", he started by saying.
"We have the coach. I wanted to say that they have the Sporting culture, I have come to realize that. It is often said that Sporting is a club with zero idols, but I want to thank you for making me feel part of Sporting", he continued.
"Sporting is not only the biggest club in Portugal because we want it to be, but today, Sporting also wins, and wins incontestably, as we did this year", concluded the 35-year-old centre-back.
