The English champion title will be decided this Sunday, once and for all, with Manchester City starting as the clear favourite, since they only need to win, at the reception to West Ham, to lift the Premier League trophy for the fourth consecutive time.

The citizens have a two-point advantage over Arsenal, who will not only have to defeat Everton, but also wait for a possible 'slip' from their eternal rival, in order to surpass them. Even so, for Jamie Carragher, the simple fact of being in the fight until the last round is a testament to Mikel Arteta's work.

"The work he's done is absolutely fantastic. People say he's spent a lot of money, and he has, but the biggest indicator of where someone finishes in the league is the wage bill. And when you look at Manchester City's wage bill, it's a massive gulf," he said.

"And more often than not, that's where the Premier League title goes. So, you've got a situation where others might have to hope that Pep Guardiola walks away," he continued, in statements made to the British television station Sky Sports.

"I would be thinking, 'Arteta is a top manager. We know he's one of the best. We might have to wait until Pep walks away'. Don't do anything silly, don't panic. This guy knows what he's doing," completed the former Liverpool captain.
