Vitória SC leader responds to Álvaro Pacheco and promises to go to court

The statements made by Álvaro Pacheco this Sunday have already been answered. On his departure for Rio de Janeiro on Sunday morning, the coach underlined that "he had felt for a long time that he was not the coach of the future and of Vitória's project".
António Miguel Cardoso, president of the Guimarães team, has already responded to his former coach, showing himself available to discuss the matter in court. The leader of the Minhotos also underlined that the dossier on the coach's departure is closed.
"The departure of coach Álvaro Pacheco is a closed matter for Vitória SC. Everything was reported in detail at a press conference, there is nothing more to add. If he wants to discuss the matter in court, I will be happy to attend. In the courts, the truths are ascertained based on facts and everything I reported was factual. It will be positive that such facts are proven in a judicial instance", said the leader, in statements to Guimarães Digital.
Guaranteeing that the name of the team's new coach "will be announced soon", António Miguel Cardoso also took stock of the season for the Vitorianos.
"I am naturally happy with what the team achieved this season. We wanted to go further in the Conference League, but the team had a very consistent performance in the Championship and in the Portuguese Cup. The fifth place in the Liga Portugal will allow a new presence in a UEFA competition and, therefore, I must thank the entire work group for their commitment during all these months of competition. Our commitment is to continue climbing steps, regardless of the difficulties we encounter", concluded the leader of the Vimaranenses.
