Benfica ended a certainly unforgettable season with the conquest of yet another title in women's football. One week after the national champions' party, the eagles defeated Racing Power by 4-1, this Sunday, collecting the second Portuguese Cup of their history, in a final played at the Jamor National Stadium - one week before the final between Sporting and FC Porto in men's football.
After a start in which the Seixal emblem even had the best opportunities, the Luz emblem scored against the current of the game, at 25 minutes, when Marie Alidou appeared in the heart of the area to correspond accurately to Andreia Faria's pass, provoking the first reasons for celebration in Jamor. Even before the break, Racing Power left their mark on the game and, following a corner kick taken by Beatriz Rodrigues, Gerda Konst headed into the back of the net, leaving João Marques celebrating the tie. Already in the second half, Benfica put themselves back in front of the scoreboard, at 59 minutes, in a penalty converted by Carole Costa. Marie Alidou was brought down in the penalty area by Babi and, after a VAR alert, Catarina Campos would end up communicating the decision of maximum punishment for Filipa Patão's team. The final 3-1 came from the feet of Lúcia Alves who, at 69 minutes, took advantage of a 'sugary' pass from Kika Nazareth to sentence the doubts, pointing to the sky, in tears, after the recent death of her grandfather. Already in stoppage time, the newly entered Lara Martins still put the ball in the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed, for Andreia Faria's offside before the assist. The 4-1, that, came soon after, in a counterattack finished by Kika Nazareth. Thus, Benfica adds the Portuguese football championship to the championship, the Super Cup and the League Cup, in a certainly unforgettable full, in addition to the journey to the 'quarters' of the Champions League.

67' - Almost 3-1. Marie Alidou with a clear opportunity, in front of goal, to extend the advantage.

59' - BENFICA GOAL. Carole Costa did not tremble when it was time to charge the maximum penalty and put her team back in front of the scoreboard.

58' - Penalty for Benfica. After reviewing images in the VAR, Catarina Campos communicates the decision of a penalty in favor of the eagles.

56' - Marie Alidou is brought down in the penalty area, in a duel with Babi, and asks for a penalty. Referee Catarina Campos will consult the images with the video referee.

50' - The official number of spectators is announced. 18,124 fans present at Jamor.

46' - THE MATCH RESTARTS. The second half starts without changes in the teams.

45' - INTERVAL. At least 45 more minutes are missing, in a final that continues with a goal for each side.

40' - RACING POWER GOAL. Following a corner kick by Beatriz Rodrigues, Gerda Konst appears loose in the penalty area and heads into the back of the net, making it 1-1 on the scoreboard.

35' - Marie Alidou threatens the goal again, this time in a header that goes wide

25' - BENFICA GOAL. The Eagles 'faked' the lack of harmony in the last few minutes and, in a well-designed play, Alidou appeared in the heart of the area to correspond accurately to Andreia Faria's pass.

18' - Lena Pauels denies a goal for the Seixal team, but the move ends up being disallowed for offside.

13' - Again Racing Power. Gerda Konst appears opportunely in the heart of the area and sees her shot hit the right post of Benfica's goal.

5' - Jenny Vetter almost takes advantage of Christy Ucheibe's mistake and comes close to opening the scoring for Racing Power, forcing Lena Pauels to apply herself to avoid the goal.

1' - Lúcia Alves shoots wide on the first attempt, with only 40 seconds elapsed.

1' - THE BALL ROLLS IN JAMOR. Benfica and Sporting de Braga dispute the last trophy of the season.

0' - The national anthem is heard in Jamor, before thousands of fans in the stands, especially on the side of the eagles.

Benfica and Racing Power are preparing to close the sports season in women's football, this Sunday, with the dispute of the Portuguese Cup, at the Jamor National Stadium, in Oeiras.

Approximately one week after the national champions' party, precisely in front of the Seixal team (2-1), the eagles are thus looking for the much-desired 'double', also in search of the second queen's test in their history. For Racing Power it is the first presence in a Portuguese Cup final.
