Dalot scores, but it's not enough. Manchester United fail (for now) to reach Europe

Manchester United ended their 2023/24 Premier League campaign on Sunday evening with a hard-fought 2-0 win away at Brighton at the Amex Stadium.
The game was goalless until the 73rd minute when Portugal international Diogo Dalot (who started again for Erik ten Hag, as did compatriot Bruno Fernandes) broke the deadlock. Rasmus Hojlund then wrapped up the scoring in stoppage time.
Despite the result, Manchester United finish the season in eighth place with 60 points, three behind sixth-placed Chelsea, meaning they will miss out on European football... for now.
However, they could still qualify for the Europa League if they beat Manchester City in the eagerly-anticipated FA Cup final next weekend. Brighton, meanwhile, finish 11th with 48 points.
