Inter saved themselves from defeat against Lazio at the 'last gasp'

Internazionale failed to bid farewell to the Giuseppe Meazza as they had intended this season, since, despite having already secured the Italian league title, they were unable to go beyond a 1-1 draw with Lazio this Sunday.
Taty Castellanos broke the deadlock in the fourth minute, but the VAR intervened and disallowed the goal due to offside. Even so, the Biancocelesti refused to 'throw in the towel' and took the lead before the half-time whistle through Daichi Kamada, a former Benfica target.
Then, when everything seemed to be settled, in the 87th minute, Denzel Dumfries appeared in the opposition's penalty area to head the ball in after a cross by Alexis Sánchez, thus sealing the final result.
Despite this result, Internazionale go into the final round of Serie A in isolated leadership, with 93 points, 19 more than the second-placed team, AC Milan, who, the previous day, lost 3-1 away to Torino.
Lazio, on the other hand, reach 60 points, which allows them to provisionally move up to sixth place, level on points with AS Roma, who will face Genoa tonight.
