The Nordic forward, somewhat 'lost' in the English second division at Coventry, cost the Alvalade emblem's coffers more than 20 million euros, becoming the club's most expensive signing, and was decisive for the return of Sporting and coach Rúben Amorim to the title. That match with the 'encarnados' had an unexpected hero, with Catamo signing a 'bis', including the winning goal near the end. In addition to the Mozambican and Gyökeres, Sporting's season had other protagonists, with another Nordic signing arriving and succeeding, such as the Danish midfielder Hjulmand. After a first half of the season that was well erased, Trincão was reborn in 2024, as was Pedro Gonçalves, who were in shape and were very important in the most critical phase of the season.
