"I leave sad for not being able to enjoy this huge club any more"
The Spanish left-back lamented the injuries that kept him from showing his qualities to the "encarnados" fans.

Juan Bernat took to social media on Sunday to bid farewell to Benfica, where he arrived last summer on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spaniard regretted that injuries prevented him from making a better contribution to the team, having played seven games for the Eagles, spread over 249 minutes.
"A very difficult season for me is coming to an end. A season in which I tried not to have surgery because of my pubalgia, but in the end I had to do it, which kept me off the pitch all year," the Spanish defender began by writing.
"I am very sad to not have been able to do what I like the most for a long time and not to be able to enjoy this great club more, but football is like that and we just have to accept it and keep working. At least I was able to finish the season on the pitch and fully recovered. Finally, I want to thank all the people at the club who supported me during this difficult time and wish them all the best in the future. Thank you very much," the 31-year-old player finished.
Juan Bernat played his last game for Benfica this Saturday, coming on for the final minutes of the draw in Vila do Conde with Rio Ave.
