Nandinho ends Bahrain championship on the verge of the podium
Portuguese coach leads Al Ahli to their highest league finish in 13 years

The football championship in Bahrain ended on Sunday, and Nandinho had reasons to smile. The Portuguese led Al-Ahli to the club's best classification in the last 13 years.
The team led by the Portuguese coach won in the visit to Al-Hala, by 3-0, in the last round of the competition and secured 4th place, with 33 points, 11 behind the champion Al Khalidiyah and just one behind the third-placed Al-Muharraq.
In the mentioned period, the best that the club had achieved was sixth place, which corroborates the excellent season that Nandinho had at the service of Al-Ahli.
It is worth mentioning that the Manama team won the King's Cup, a competition that the club had not won for 21 years, and put an end to eight years of fasting titles by the Bahrain emblem.
