Marítimo president apologizes for assaulting supporter: "I shouldn't have..."

"First of all, I have to apologize to the Marítimo fan for my rash act. It shouldn't have happened", he began by telling Diário de Notícias Madeira, before explaining what happened.
"However, this fan has been going to Marítimo home games for a long time and uttering offensive words towards this board. He constantly turns to the stands at the end of the games and offends everyone. Yesterday [Sunday], and this does not appear in the video, he again offended our entire entourage, the coach, members of the board. He said unworthy words to me, to our coach and other members, including our families. Naturally, after a game that did not go well for Marítimo, arriving in Madeira and being offended with this type of language", stressed the leader of the island team.
"I repeat, it shouldn't have happened. I am trying to talk to the fan to apologize in person. More than anyone, I, the president of Marítimo, and all those who work with me at the club and at SAD, wanted Marítimo to win the game against Viseu", he concluded.
